The number of cot sheets you need depends on how often you plan to change them and how frequently your baby experiences accidents.
Generally, having 2 to 4 sheets is recommended. Two sheets allow for one to be in use while the other is being washed, while additional sheets offer extra convenience for quick changes due to spills or leaks.
If you anticipate frequent messes, more sheets will save time and stress during laundry cycles.
Alternatively, if you layer two waterproof sheets over each other on the mattress, when the inevitable happens you won’t need to search for a clean sheet, strip the linen and remake the cot. Simply take off the soiled top sheet to reveal a fresh and clean one underneath. Doubling up your waterproof sheets is a great way to make middle of the night sheet changes much easier!
